Installation & Wall Replacement
Patches fix holes; some jobs need whole new board. A wall soaked through, a remodel with open studs, an addition waiting for its first skin — that’s full installation work, from framing prep to the final coat of texture. That’s our installation service, end to end.
When Replacement Beats Patching
We recommend full board when:
- Water has been through it — soft, swollen, or peeling drywall can’t be saved
- The same spot keeps failing because the backing behind it is gone
- Mold is in the wall — that surface has to be removed, never painted over
- A remodel opens the wall for wiring, plumbing, or a new layout
- Damage covers too much area for a patch to carry structurally
We’ll tell you which job your wall actually is. If a couple of patches will do, we say so — replacement costs more, and we don’t sell it to walls that don’t need it.
From Studs to Paint
- Cover everything first. Floors, furniture, and fixtures protected before the first sheet comes through the door.
- Check the framing. Studs and joists inspected, blocking added where sheets need a solid edge.
- Hang the board. Cut tight around outlets, windows, and corners, fastened on the correct schedule.
- Tape and coat three rounds. Each coat gets its drying time and a sanding — the difference between walls that stay flat and walls that go lumpy.
- Texture and finish. Your texture applied or the existing one matched, left ready for paint.
Remodels Around Allen
Allen homeowners stay busy — kitchen refreshes, garage conversions, media rooms, and home-office buildouts across Twin Creeks and the newer subdivisions east of US 75. We fit into your project’s schedule, coordinate with other trades while walls are open, and hand back paint-ready surfaces on time.
The Right Board for Every Room
- Standard half-inch board — everyday walls and ceilings
- Moisture-resistant board — bathrooms, laundry rooms, and wet zones
- Fire-rated board — garage walls and shared walls where code requires it
- Sound-dampening board — media rooms, nurseries, and shared walls where quiet matters
New Construction Fix-Ups Too
Allen still has active construction, and new builds sometimes need a second set of hands — punch-list nail pops, seam cracks from first-season settling, or finish repairs before the owners move in. We work with homeowners and builders on those touch-ups and bring the finish up to standard.
Clean Site, Every Time
Installation means dust and offcuts — the cleanup is part of the job, not an option. We contain the work zone, tidy as we go, and haul off every scrap and empty bucket before we call it finished.
